The school derived its name "Bharat" from the Sanskrit word "Bharata" meaning the country India. This being confirmed in our constitution article 1 (1) "India, that is Bharat shall be union of states" The school took its inspiration from Mr. Akka Naidu, a close associate of Sri. V.O Chidambaram Pillai and veteran of the freedom struggle who started a boarding school for girls in Ottapidaram before independence.
Having got the approval of the State Government the teachers stand to benefit by orientation courses by state and central agencies and children will be the ultimate beneficiaries.
Our correspondent Smt. Geetha Mayakrishnan is the grand daughter of Mr. Akka Naidu. She took lead from him and thus our Bharat Vidya Mandir Matriculation School Blossomed twenty two years ago. The school was founded in 1990 and is functioning under the auspices of Rengasamy Educational Trust. The growth of the school is phenomenal as the public strength is surging year by year.
